Created in 1998 by Amandine Barrillon and Ivan Chary, La Compagnie du Petit Monsieur looks for the odd in our everyday lives and plays with these little misfortunes which transform Joe Public into a clown in spite of himself.

Without pretending to renew a genre whose masters are Chaplin, the Mikos or George Carl, La Compagnie takes inspiration from these mundane circumstances, slightly offbeat at first, at least plausible, and pushes them into a burlesque situation. It plays with situation comedy, emphasized by the farcical virtues of mime and acrobatics.
